Artwork - First! Figure out how big you want the design printed

Solution

Before you can create your mock-up and artwork file. You need to do know how big you want to make the design.

Determine what size you want to make the print. We recommend that you physically do this step.

That is, you print off your design onto paper and cut out the design.

Grab a t-shirt and lay it down and place the design where you expect it to be.

Or put the t-shirt on, and in a mirror, place the design on the shirt and see how big you want it to be.

Do this process a few times until you get exactly what you're looking for.

Once you know exactly how big you want your design, change your artwork's image size to reflect the physical size you have decided on.

When your artwork is at "Print Size", as we called it, your design is ready to print.

You can check to see how it might look by using our Mock-up Generator.

A print ready artwork file, when uploaded into the generator, should show something similar to how it might look. Mock-up Generator art-board is 35Wx40cmH and typically a size M.

PS: If the print is too small DON'T Enlarge. Look at the original file, as it may be too small a print size. Adjust and repeat.

Remember: trim your art file of any unwanted transparent space and then double check your print size. Do not measure the canvas space as this is not how big your artfile will print.

Please Note: Designs with a print size bigger than A4 (620cm2) size incur a surcharge.
